Wildcard Subdomains

Please allow wildcard subdomains to be added eg. *.enhance.com

@Adam Can you give any advice on this? I have my DNS run through CloudFlare where I put the wildcard DNS record in directly, but it then stopped working because Enhance updated the record and removed the wildcard.

MediaLabz I suggest you host this domain's DNS outside of Enhance and directly in Cloudflare.

I really struggled to use cloudflare for the main panel domain name. Partly as cloudflare as a registrar isn’t good unless you are on a paid account (you cannot register custom nameservers correctly with Verisign otherwise) and partly due to how cloudflare proxies.

I ended up using a non cloudflare hosted domain and everything just worked. Took 15 minutes from registering the domain, editing the servers dns in enhance and bang, it all worked brilliantly.

Wildcard subdomain support is a popular feature request and it will be added soon. You can already create the wildcard DNS on Enhance (in the zone for your parent domain). It should also sync to CloudFlare if created in Enhance first.

If you want your website to answer on *.maindomain.com then this can be done manually in Apache https://enhance.com/docs/application-role/apache-configurations.html#virtual-host-includes but not currently with other web server kinds.
