I'm curious to know how everyone manages outgoing email from client websites?

I was planning to use Postmark to send all outgoing mail but as WP defaults to using "wordpress@clientdomain.com" I'd need to configure each client domain for sending through Postmark.

It would be nifty to define an override FROM header for all outgoing mail from within Enhance. Even better if possible to use the original FROM header as the REPLY-TO.

I've previously baked this and Postmark sending into a custom WP theme, but it would be nice to set at a hosting level so everything is pre-configured.

I might have the whole approach wrong though.

I use https://www.mail.baby/. Works great.
I add it to the DNS zone templating and all domains get it
New accouts, will get it, any exsisting accounts you will need to add it manually.

I use MailBaby too, and once I manually enabled SRS, it is working like a dream.

tecreasey I enabled SRS once and it started to rewrite every outgoing email. Even the ones with mailboxes, not only forwarders. I saw this on the mailbaby logs page.

So I decided to turn it off again.

The problem I had was that without it, all emails sent to Gmail and Yahoo were being bounced. So I have no choice.

tecreasey That's strange, we use mail baby but don't have SRS enabled and haven't experienced any bounced emails.

SharedGrid It's only for forwarders.
Regular mailboxes don't have any issues.

Oh, sure - I knew about that, I misread that all emails were bouncing 🙂
