WP Cron output to /dev/null [LOGGED]

I remember some time ago there was a conversation about adding >/dev/null 2>&1 to the default wp-cli cron command added when creating a WordPress site.

I usually add it manually to all websites because otherwise it generates lots of emails that are being sent using the smart host relay (which has cost per email sent).

Is this still planned? I don't see anything in the roadmap.

If not, please consider adding it.

The upcoming mail server update will give you an option to explictly redirect emails bound for the system user (cron emails) to /dev/null or to a specific email. ETA Feb/March.
