CrossBox integration modern email solution, RoundCube alternative

Enhance currently uses RoundCube as an email client. It's a well-known solution but mostly every web host uses it. Why not go one step further and start using more modern solutions?
I did a search and found an alternative: CrossBox

It is not just a WebEmail client but a very powerful tool. It even has apps for smartphones.

and allows for cluster solutions, an ideal thing for Enhance - https://crossbox.io/cluster

Unfortunately, it is not a free solution, but it is not expensive either. I think it is worth the price and the value to customers that it offers. I would be happy to offer CrossBox to my clients.

What do Enhance users think about this?
@Adam possible to integrate with Enhance? How do you see it from your point of view?

Not sure, if my clients need this i would rather have a offer with a Calendar integration, like SOGo or mailcow.

I'd also be much more interested in SOGo than CrossBox

Sogo for me definitely better as it has some groupware features and ActiveSync.

+1 on having a more modern built in email suite/solution (if possible open source/free)

Nothing is stopping us from deploying these Roundcube alts already, but I'd like to see SSO support for the mailbox level that supports any Webmail product (defaulting/exampled with Roundcube).

I agree on a SSO at mailbox level, that would help Troubleshooting so much.

I reached out to the [CrossBox](https://crossbox.io) team requesting integration. They are open to it but having some additional requests would be very helpful. So send those integration requiests to contact@crossbox.io and request Enhance be integrated.

@Adam they did ask if Enhance has an integration API that they can use.

I am currently testing Crossbox but they don't offer a reseller feature so you need cPanel or Directadmin
to allow customers to create their own email accounts, so I believe there would be an opportunity if you could have
a server dedicated for the email services.

RoundCube after the merger with nextcloud will speed up work, but a better solution instead of what you proposed is, in my opinion, SOGo Webmail.
