Move Enhance Control Panel to another server [ROADMAPPED]

I think I read somewhre that the enhance control panel role cannot be moved to another server. I can't find the actual article though.

Let's say I need to change providers and move all my servers to another place. Is there some way to do it?

There is no "official" way to do this at present. The best thing to do would be a block level copy of the boot disk of the source server onto the new server. Then shut down the old server, boot up the new server and everything should be fine.

Hello Adam,
This will be difficult when changing providers, as boot level copy cannot be moved between different providers.
for eg, if someone is migrating from google cloud to AWS.

Adam "Will Server disaster recovery" in March 23 and "Move server migration sessions" in April 23 cover the possibility of moving the Control Panel to another server? If not, I also vote for this feature.

I too, +100 this. With a recent change to my current provider, I am now wanting to move to a different provider but I can see that this currently is not something that can be achieved easily.

Any news about migrating the control panel from one server to another? we are just testing out Enhance and this seems to be a single point of failure for the entire hosting environment, so frankly speaking I'm on the fence to implement Enhance.

I'm in the same boat. I started with the control panel outside our regular colo dc before I realized I couldn't move it. Now cPanel migrations travel from the dc to the outside provider and then back to the dc, which is a complete waste of time and bandwidth.

I've been wondering if it's possible to backup sites, restore them on a different estate/license (manually of course) properly located at in our colo. Haven't yet put any though into this but I should ask support if it's even possible before we do any further migrations. The current Enhance panel is hosted by an outside provider which doesn't offer anything possible to transfer the server.

Apologies for not spotting this sooner but this feature is already roadmapped. With the release of 'Control panel server replication.' in October you'll be able to move your control panel server.
