All wordpress content disappears

Hi so i am in the process of migration and i am testing enhance before i fully migrate. But i am getting a error that i have never i. My life encountered before on wordpress.

I have added everything exact as my previous hosting but what happens on ehnance is out of nowhere all my woo products that i created pages that i created posts that i created and even the custom post content i created just vanishes. Not going to draft or trash it just vanishes and there is no specific time when it will happen it can happen after a day after two days or the same day as well.

Has anyone faced this issue or is it just me

Is the content still in the database? Check the table prefixes, etc. Never seen all content just disappear before, sounds sus.

twest its not there in the database as well. Never have i heared or faced this ever before.

If you're using a cheap VPS provider for testing it could be that.

JohnB i am using netcup servers they are cheap but i have heared good things about them but still not sure if they are any good

huzaifa They are good enough to not cause these issues.

What IS in the database when you check? Is the prefix correct? What does wordpress health page say?

Could post a screenshot of phpmyadmin?

i have restored from a backup i am gonna take a screenshot of phpmyadmin now and when it happens again will again take screenshot and will post it here

It's a long shot but is there any chance that there is an inconsistency with the DNS? For example if your website had 2 A records you would be effectively load balancing between 2 servers. Maybe your content got added to one server then your local DNS cache updated to the other IP and the content vanished.

There is nothing in Enhance which is capable of removing content from your WordPress installation.

@Adam Hi no i have checked the dns for the sites they seem ok. Ok so one question i am using custom nameservers like my agency website is onestepsol.com.au so i am using two name servers ns1 and ns2 both pointed at one server ip. i just read in the documents and it says that you should have atleast two nameservers each pointing to separate server and both the servers should have dns role installed on them. by any chance do you think this could be the issue ?

if not i have created a collaboration login for one of the site. that has just content lost again now. there is a manual backup with the content if you want to give it a try and see if you can find something wrong other wise any suggestion would be helpful.

The reason why it's advisable to have 2 nameservers is so that your domain can still be resolved if one of the nameservers is down. It has no effect on WordPress content.

Does the disappearance of the content coincide with removal of a user? If so, I think the default behaviour is that any posts belonging to that user would be deleted.

One of my plugin was causing the issue lol. it was not showing any kind of errors or anything but it was causing the issue. price based on country. i was installing the blueprint site. and once i updated the plugins after a while everything was just going away. plugin is price based on country for woocommerce lol. thanks for the help. sorry for being so stupid to notice. lol

@josedieguez exactly you never know which plugin is the one causing all the mess.

everything disappeared again this is just... i dont know what to say. is there any support for like for someone to access and see whats going on as i have done everything i can. and i am not going to be able to move to this like this for sure.

huzaifa you can always try a support ticket. Worst they can say is no!

Maybe you should install an activity log plugin, see if it picks up anything about content deleting.

The only possible cause I can think of is that the content belongs to a user which is being removed, either interactively or non-interactively by a script, cron job, security plugin or similar. There is nothing in Enhance which has any access to your WordPress posts but it can delete users if requested via the UI/API.

Have you considered installing an audit log plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/ ? I

twest Good idea and he should but this won't show anything if its a script or plugin making the changes.
