Email Hosting

It's nice to see a younger hosting program other than Cpanel, Plesk, etc.
I'd like to ask if there are plans for a standalone email program, or optional features to be developed?
We would like to give users pure email functionality without hosting features.
This will facilitate better handling of IP abuse and managing users.

hidehead I have a separate server with the email role and I'm selling a few mailbox only packages. The only issue is that right now every package also creates a website, with php and mysql running and using resources on the app server.

Would be nice to have the ability to disable the app part to save on resources. Apparently this is also already logged as a feature request.

I think this would be a nice idea.

I personally use Enhance's email service, but use Amazon SES as the outbound (smarthost). For me, it's working great. My emails are getting into inboxes.

I did have to configure the email server to use Dovecot's sieves (so i can filter incoming emails) and then turn on the sieve filter plugin for Roundcube, but now I have a fully-featured (excluding virus scanning) email set-up. Adam did tell me that the filtering side has already been logged as a feature request too.

Maybe i do not have a full picture of how enhance works, but in my opinion, enhance is already doing that.

This is why Enhance has roles, and if you are interested in email only, you can deploy email-only servers.

On the other hand, email hosting functionality and options are very limited at this point in time, and i do agree it does require extensive work to compete with other email hosting software.

The better outcome will be if Enhance dev team wants to allocate the resources to develop the email side of the hosting panel.

mendozal hi! did you integrated any SMTP provider like mail.baby ? if yes how the email forwards work ?

Having the option for mail-only would be excellent.

CloudyShaper yes, I use mail baby. In this scenario email forwarding doesn't work because SRS is not on.

In a future update Enhance will support enabling SRS and other features.
