Oldschool Too many hosting providers have started censoring. For example, AWS I believe it was, banned a certain forum just because they were getting bad press and people were demanding it. Google will find something in their TOS and suspend your site, email etc. I'm with you that any company who censors their forums heavily or bows to the mob is untrustworthy.
That said I wouldn't say blocking links to LET is censorship in a dangerous sense but it should be explained.
Most likely explanation was some bot that kept posting links to some LET promo and they just blocked the site altogether. Thats normal and effective but it should only apply to new users or users with very few likes. Not sure if the forum software has the capability though.
