SSH Manager on the Enhance

SSH Manager Features:

Enable/Disable Root Login using Password.
SSH Key Vault functionality for Adding/Removing SSH Keys.
Fail2Ban for SSH and the list of banned IPs, with the ability to Ban/Unban IPs.

Manually adding SSH Keys to each server is a time-consuming and tedious task. As a workaround, I am utilizing the Root password for SSH login, despite the security risks involved.

The SSH manager will assist all users in securely and seamlessly managing the server.

This has come up a few times on the forum. Enhance deliberately doesn't have the ability to manage root access. The control panel itself doesn't run as root and the services that do have a limited set of capabilities.

If you have a larger cluster, a tool such as Ansible might be helpful for managing SSH keys.

Adding/removing a key across many servers is annoying. Same goes with updates, server health monitoring etc. Competent server administration at that scale requires knowing tools that make this really managable.

Giving a public facing panel the ability to grant root access across the entire estate is a huge security risk. If an attacker can find an exploit in Enhance they immediately have access to all the servers.... including backups.
