Nameserver Warning on Staging (STG)

We see the nameserver warnings on staging sites. This should never happen as the staging site domain/hostnames are controlled by us.

Customer cannot change the nameservers for a staging site so this error causes confusion.

Has anyone else seen this?

No, none of our staging sites show the nameserver warning.

No, but we'd not want that to either.

I think the main thing here is that the warning should never appear on a staging site because the nameservers are not within the control of the end user seeing the warning.

You're right it shouldn't be shown. I've asked the UI team to hide it for staging websites.

I think the reason why it is shown relates to part of the DNS hierarchy returning NXDOMAIN. If you wanted to fix it in the interim, adding the staging domain as a website should do it.

I know there is a feature request open somewhere to remove this from production sites but cant find it.

I just had a customer change there nameservers from cloudflare and all there mail and everything went down...

The prompt shouldnt be there at all in my opinion. Adding the nameservers down under the IP addresses would be fine, but having the consistent prompt there telling them to connect the nameservers makes them think something is wrong/not connected properly... So they go ahead and do it, and those with less experience, well.... here we are with support tickets lol.
