Moving control panel to different server

I have started using Enhance as a side control panel but in a few months, I attached a few clients on it. Because as all of us, we loved it. This has been done on a VPS at Contabo but now I want to migrate everything to my server at OVH where our real production is. I read that the control panel moving feature was expected for last October but was pushed back to May.

Now my questions are two:
1) Is this for sure sure going to be released next Month?
2) Is there a "simple" way to do it and not wait for the feature?

The issue is that Contabo is not a reliable provider and we lost 2 machines in like a month from a node hardware issue. But now some of the sites hosted there are starting to get real traffic and this may cause issue so I want to move everything to OVH. I added a new server from OVH with a role Application to migrate the sites and the only thing left is the control panel.

The control panel migration feature is still scheduled for next month but I can't guarantee that timescale - we 2 major core releases to come first which require significant testing and QA before this can happen.

The easiest way to migrate your control panel server at the moment is to transfer the server's hard disk "over the wire" to the new server. To do this you would need to boot both servers into a rescue environment then use dd over ssh or netcat to transfer the drive. There might be a little tweaking required if the BIOS configuration is different on the new server or the device names are different but it should otherwise be fairly seamless. The most important thing is to make sure that the old control panel server cannot accidentally be brought back online - it's best to disable/delete it once you're happy with the transfer.
