I was looking for a way to protect my servers and wanted to try BitNinja, although I was quite hesitant after reading many complaints on the forum about its performance, so I wanted to share with you my experience on a cheap Hetzner VPS (2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM). Immediately after installing BitNinja on my server, a pop-up appeared with several options, including the ability to choose the scan speed. I chose the slow scan option, and even during the initial full scan, BitNinja's RAM usage remained below 1 GB (reaching only 1.5 GB at times) and the CPU load was never excessive enough to cause slowdowns, which seems great to me for what it offers.
In addition, in the advanced settings, you can change the ‘Resource Usage’ value, which is a percentage between 1 and 100 that allows you to limit the resources used by BitNinja agents. Leaving it at 100 did not cause any problems for my cheap VPS (perhaps thanks to the slow scan I mentioned at the beginning, but I still haven't been able to find a way to set it after that pop-up disappeared).
I would also like to point out that it is no longer necessary to write to support to activate the special price for Enchant Panel owners, as it is done automatically.
