How to enable SRS for v11?

I can't find the way to enable SRS for v11. I though it was automatically enabled since this release note: "Sender rewriting for forwarded messages."

But I tested with a forwarder and it was going out as is.

It seems to be enabled, but only working if not using a Smarthost.

Yes. using mail.baby. Sending through webmail/IMAP client works, but forwarders/phpmailer all get rejected by mail.baby with:

550 This message was classified as rSPAM and may not be delivered

If I send an email from gmail to a forward address on Enhance that resends to the email to another gmail address, using a smarthost, Gmail sees the email as being sent from gmail to gmail but from an IP that is not authorized to send "from" gmail.

Hey did you guys end up getting SRS to work WHILE using mailbaby?

I've found phpmailer doesn't work with mail.baby as it doesn't apply the correct headers and dkim. For these sites I setup smtp to auth via a legitimate email and its then fine. Not ideal if you had to adjust 100's of sites, but safer against virus attacks mailboming as all php mail is effective blocked.

Same, it works. Phpmail is indeed disabled, because anything would be stopped by rspamd or mailbaby anyways.

If anyone wants their Wordpress to be able to send emails, they need the SMTP Mailer plugin, and if required generate an email address in Enhance.

It's not perfect, but nothing related to email is anymore, so just have a simple guide available for customers and having the email/DNS part set up properly, there's no headaches and no delivery issues.

Yeah my issue isn't with phpmailer. I already only use SMTP.

So for Google clients i have no issues sorting it out. But MS365 is such a cunt.
So what i do is SMTP Mailer and in the settings i just put
<mailserverhostname>
mailbaby username
mailbaby password

and it works flawlessly.
It scores 9 - 9.5 in mail-tester.

I have a lot of clients using the "free" Google workspace. So we just use POP + Forwading (to increase speed) and SMTP sending through gmail.com itself.

The issue is I feel like the forwarding is not working, lots of random failed emails even though the emails come through.

I was hoping SRS would address this issue
