We're currently evaluating a few different website builders to combine with enhance, most recently Kopage.

Excluding any ionCube limitations which I hear you've all been requesting and are being prioritised, are there any other likely candidates for website builders we should be looking at?

We'd generally lean toward self-hosted but considering all options.

Kopage looks good, it has decent support for countrybased Payment gateways like for us Mollie.nl. We have tested it on a earlier panel (DirectAdmin) it worked out ok, but rather expensive for small hosters. I have no idea now about pricing, i send them a presales question.

But maybe someone has expierence.

kyzoeadmin I am not sure if you missed this page https://www.kopage.com/sitebuilder-for-webhosts with pricing for bulk, I like the idea of including this in certain packages and the customer not having too much of a relationship with the software producer (its some years ago now but I saw similar circumstances where a SaaS website builder started encouraging/poaching/stealing their partenrs customers directly). I only look at kopage because of that standalone nature and because they're still around after all this time, entirely open to others.

edit: one thing I did note with kopage, although it doesn't require a MySQL database it's not just deploying standing .html and similar pages / it can still be quite resource intensive when a busy site gets lots of traffic.

Site builders seems a very wide market at the moment. I think I have personally tested a couple of dozen!
It seems to be a balancing act between ease of use vs complexity (and features); there's not a single answer that good for everyone. I know colleagues have had good experiences with Site.pro in the past - it seems reasonably priced and on their white label option they have a 'free' tier as well which you can offer to clients. Hope that helps.

Today we looked into WP ultimo as a SAAS solution for building sites, it seems to have great opportunity to setup a SAAS webbuilding business. Did you see that?

Hennie Interesting! There seems to be a lot of models, I need to look in more detail what happens when these different website builder providers "go away" as we'd ideally have something where the end-user owns the website which is produced without paying ongoing fees for it to simply exist (having the building tools or the licensing servers in the cloud is fine, so long as the customers website is not reliant on them for availability or portability).
