Ability to clone a site in WordPress to a subdomain/subfolder of same domain

I have noticed that I cannot copy or clone a website in wordpress to a subdomain or subfolder of the same domain, it only works for other domains. Is this the case? It would be nice if it works for subdomains or folders since not all of them have extra domains. I await comments, greetings

sebastianahumada Yes you are correct, you can clone a "website" but not an App. I agree it would be really useful if we could clone a single App and to be able clone that App to either a subfolder within the same website or a new website by itself.

I think the same, even with licenses there are problems, it is not the same to clone a website in a subfolder to clone it in another domain, this is a serious problem in wordpress if you want to edit things in a copy before applying them to production.

+1 and it would be great if we can clone a website "to a staging domain". Maybe we already can and i don't know how, but i can only see the clone to "new or existing website", but would be great to clone in the staging domain too.
