Hello Enhance Friends,

For those of you who are passionate about WordPress performance, please share your WP hosting performance benchmark here.
Let's create our own library here of all our results so that we can come back and check all provider benchmarks when we need to choose a provider.

Here's a testing method to make things quick and simple. Download this plugin, install it and run it. Voila! That's all!

PS: I know this is a very incomplete test, and the plugin author explains this well in the link above. However, it is a very quick test that anyone can run. If some Enhance users wish to share more detailed testing, I'm sure this will be highly appreciated by everyone.

Best way to test imo is to stress test the server with loader.io requests. Network latency and the overhead it creates is the most important part which most benchmarks miss and fail to create real world scenarios.

kyzoeadmin Thank you so much for sharing. How many hundreds of websites had you on this server when you tested? ;-)
When I tested 5950X Hetzner, I remember I had:

I was expecting a much higher queries/sec VS Hetzner AMD Ryzen™ 9 5950X.
I will post more about this AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X. I need first to find out why queries/sec seem so low.

These benchmarks are not reliable and are limited. They only use one core and only test php and the database. The total load on the server should be tested by querying the website. There are many more dependencies. Web Server, Caching, DNS, CDN, mysl cache, server and network throughput and many more.

Example: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16 cores and 32 threads vs AMD EPYC 64 cores and 128 threads, now consider what will handle more of your website traffic. The result is obvious, the AMD EPYC will win.

kyzoeadmin Ooops I thought you were on LSWS. I see you run on Apache. All my tests were made using the Enhance Litespeed Enterprise stack.
So, I have redone all of my tests, and it's strange, but the Apache stack on Enhance seems to work better than Litespeed Enterprise regarding performance.
@Adam Could there be an issue with the Enhance LSWS stack? I can sometimes handle over 1900 requests/s using Apache, whereas I get 1500 requests/s on LSWS.

Is it possible that LSWS config is causing this?

Adrien nope we are on apache, new servers will be maybe on lsws but i am not sure about that we used it on Directadmin, and it is has never been really that much faster.... to be honest and clients are very happy allready. Maybe in a othe rpackage else we stay on pache or nginx when available.

We’re currently running on a heavily optimised version of Ubuntu(very, very, very optimised with most of Ubuntu stripped out) on customised(Intel 2.1Ghz) hardware we’ve co-located across 10 locations world wide. We’ve designed everything from metal up to be performance oriented. On that test we had around 195 websites running.

We’ve seen better performance out of Intel than AMD when properly optimised, in addition, we’ve customised a fair bit of Enhance and use NGINX, LSWC drops our score a fair bit. We do however have a custom full page cache running.

AdamM I've explained in my original post that these plugins were limited. If you click on the plugin link, the author explains everything you wrote in detail.
We also added a second test which is the one suggested by @gavin
I thought sharing these results was better than nothing. No?

But if everyone thinks like you that this isn't "reliable" and useless, then let's stop wasting time.

PS not everyone can afford an AMD EPYC 64 cores and 128 threads...

Forgot to mention, the most I’ve seen with little to no load on that setup was 5600 ish queries per second.

AdamM Thank you mate! Listen, I'm struggling so much trying to find what can't be found: lots of cores, lots of frequency, and not too much money, that this whole thing is driving me nuts! I'm spinning VMs and BMs all over the place, trying to find the best ones for my future clients, but unsuccessfully. Adam, if you have a link somewhere, I'd like to learn from you how to do the best stress tests.
