Email Returned to Sender

Hi
I have received a failed email.delivery report from Gmail saying that the PTR/Forward lookup for my IP is not set.

I have double checked and it is set to my mail host.

Is mail sent from an address other than the mail host? If not, how could I go about resolving this?

So after looking into it further, it appears that the server is sending from an IPv6 address. How do I revert to sending from the IPv4 address?

It's easier just to set a PTR on the v6 address, your provider should be able to do that for you. If you're sure you want to disable ipv6 for outbound email, edit /etc/postfix/main.cf and find the line:

inet_protocols = all

Change it to:

inet_protocols = ipv4

Then run postfix reload.
