Error using curl as ssh user

I am getting the following error when using curl as the ssh user of a website to try to install an app:

bash: /dev/fd/63: No such file or directory
curl: (23) Failure writing output to destination

How do I resolve this?

It sounds like you are trying to install something that you need root permission for. Are you able to share the command you are running?

I am trying to install the Kong API Gateway.

This is the command:
bash <(curl -sS https://get.konghq.com/install) -p kong -v 3.7.1

It does seem like the user needs root permission. How do I grant this to the user?

You can give the user root access but they will have complete access to the server. Please be cautious when installing additional software as it may not be compatible/break your system.

I tried adding the user to the sudo group but it still says it is not a sudoer.

Also, how do I remove root from the user after?

A website user can't sudo, that's by design. You can give them root access by giving them the root password or adding their SSH key to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys but you should never do this on a shared server and we would advise against doing it on a server which is a member of your cluster, even if it's dedicated to this customer.

I would recommend installing this app on a standalone server.
