After installation CP Server Domain.

Hi,

My server hostname is cp.mydomain.com and I’m also using that same subdomain as the Enhance CP url. On DNS Ì have 1 A Record cp.mydomain.com to my server IP.

After CP installation it asks for “Server Domain”. What value should I use? I mean, can I just use the same subdomain I’m using for hostname and server CP (ex: cp.mydomain.com)? Or I cannot use a subdomain here, and I must a domain (mydomain.com)?

Yes you can use that subdomain.

When installing Enhance it should tell you that it will comment the hostname on the config files in the server to not cause any issues.

Ok. I will use as “Server Domain” in CP setup to be, the same subdomain of the CP, that is also equal to the server hostname: cp.mydomain.com
And when installing Enhance I will say Yes to it comenting my current /etc/hosts hostname file.

As posted on my previous message I tryied to setup with my server/cp subdomain, bu it did not work. It shows the error message: "Failed to add. Domain already exists.".

So I guess I have to use my domain instead of my subdomain

why not just use another subdomain ?

Enhance support, told me I do not need to have the "Server Domain", since I already have a hostname pointing to the server I do not need this feature.

My problem is resolved. Thanks all!
