The node.js feature is the ability to nominate a persistent application, to have it proxied by the web server, started on container start, monitored and restarted if it crashes. This is roughly the equivalent to the node.js functionality in some other panels.
You can already make node, npm, etc available to your customers by installing it on the host o/s.
