Seeking Tips for Performance Improvements! - New to Enhance

Hi everyone!

I am new to the Enhance community and thought I'd create a post of my own! Currently, I’m in the process of migrating several websites over to Enhance to test out its features and capabilities. Previously, I’ve been using cPanel and CloudPanel instances on Google Cloud and AWS.

So far, I think the panel is fantastic! I've had the pleasure of working with Adam from support multiple times, and I must say, the support is top tier in comparison to other options like Plesk and cPanel.

As I continue this transition, I’m looking for tips and suggestions on optimizing performance for my servers. I’m particularly interested in any database or server changes I can make to enhance performance, even if it means using a bit more RAM (i.e. setups like RunCloud/GridPane)

Here’s my current setup:

Server A: Enhance Control Panel
Server B: Apps, Database
Server C: Primary DNS (USA)
Server D: Secondary DNS (USA)
Server E: Tertiary DNS (Europe)

Any advice or best practices from those of you with experience would be greatly appreciated! I have been scouring others posts for more information.

One of the larger benefits of enhance is the ability to have a separate database server. So if you do have any LARGE websites remember you could always spin up a VPS purely for a database.

Other than that; where is your Australian DNS! 😮

No Australian DNS at the moment! All our current websites are in USA and Europe so haven't expanded yet. We really push for clients to use Cloudflare on their own, but allow them to use our DNS if they'd like. Mainly, the DNS is purposed for staging websites.

We get this question once a week it feels like. You will get better answers if you search this forum for "Performance tips" as each iteration of the question people naturally give less and less detail. There are some great guides in other threads here. Especially related to DB performance tuning.

Regardless if its from here, the developer of MySQL, chatGPT, higher power etc, don't copy and paste configs without understanding exactly what they do. Many easy performance boost options in Mysql come with risks that may or may not apply to you.
