Has anyone done real world testing to qualify OLS vs LSE

Has anyone got any real world insight into whether or not Litespeed Enterprise is better than OLS, in terms of performance and efficiency.

Zoinkies I've done a lot of load testing and haven't noticed a huge difference. The most important difference is the automatic reading of htaccess changes. This is a significant complication for WordPress.

The difference is at scale on a large shared web hosting server with hundreds of websites and thousands of concurrent connections. Both performance and operationally.

For a small VPS and most sites is trivial. You'd struggle to know the difference between NGINX, OLS and Litespeed. Either of these is a step up from Apache in many cases. For smaller scale hosting operations, invest the money into more resources such as RAM or dedicated high frequency CPU cores instead of shared cores.

cosmoshosting it's not even comparable on larger servers since it's not possible to update the OLS config to use appropriate resources a large server has. For example, increasing the number of workers, which would be the first bottleneck quickly hit since OLS is stuck with 1 worker.

It will be a game changer when Enhance becomes the only control panel that allows for persistent config with OLS.

That’s actually the default setting of OLS, not Enhance. If I remember correctly, the default is 3 workers, which is more than enough for low to medium traffic setups. For high-traffic servers, you’ll need to adjust it based on your needs.

As a temporary workaround, you can use this script to persist OLS settings. This will be a built-in feature in Enhance soon.
