How to clear the CP main logs

How can I clear the logs in my panel?

I had a small issue with the backups server and now I have over 1 million entries there.

Where are these stored?

hmm /var/log and /var/local/enhance I believe.

Check out the thread on cleaning up space, there some good commands for limiting log size growth.

Rich Thank you. I did find the thread and run the docker prune, freed-up some space indeed, but didn't clear the platform logs. /var/log also seems doesn't exist. I am looking at this on the CP server, or are these platform logs pulled from other servers as well?

cristianuibar I believe the backup failure logs you see in the UI are stored in the DB. I don't think they can be cleared.

Backup Logs <-- this looks like its calling from a db.
Not sure it's mapped to a file.

Beyond this I'd say open a ticket.

mendozal Yeah I'd love to clean up my backup view on the clients panel, but it's totally postgres. give it a few months to rotate and it should clean its self up... if not we might get the backup deletion tool by then.

I see. Makes sense. Thank you. Still I would like to clear the failed backups logs somehow. I'll send a ticket to see if it's possible.

Adam gave me a nice solution.

Get inside the interactive shell of PostgreSQL with the "enhance" user:
docker exec -it orchd-postgres psql -U enhance
Delete all rows from the activities table in the database:
delete from activities;

I just tested it out, and it worked well. I went from 1098630 logs to 0.
