Migrate websites first, then mails

Hi Community,

i want to migrate websites to enhance. When catchall feature is ready i would migrate mails also.

Until catchall is ready (weeks? months?) i wonder what would be the best way for this, so the mails sent from websites (wordpress, joomla, woocommerce) will work even if the MX records point to the old mailserver.

Are there MX settings that allow the new enhance-host send mails or must i create an smtp account on the old mailserver and use that for sending?

Major7 I know for WP you can and probably should (for correct headers) use an SMTP plugin, point it at the old server problem solved. I would suspect there the same for Joomla. Woo is WP so same as before.

I wouldn't complicate the mail more than you have too, wait until the features you need are in place before moving it. Just leave the MX records pointing at the old sever and set the mail routing like this.
