If you're using the backup role of enhance then it uses BTRFS snapshots instead of compressing monolithic copies. It just does an rsync diff into a new snapshot each new backup schedule. There's no encryption on the stored files, just an SSH pipe to the backup role.
Only control panel that I know of that did encrypted backups was Plesk. Which where large monolithic tar.gz or zips.
