MySQL missing?

Hi,
sorry if this is a stupid question - I'm new to Enhance.
I installed 2 webservers together with a DB server on each as well - one with OpenLiteSpeed and one with Apache (for older projects). Both webservers installed MariaDB without giving me a choice between MariaDB or MySQL.

Now I'm running in some compatibility issues with some of my older projects because of MariaDB.
Therefore I want to switch to MySQL on the Apache Server, but I can't find an option to do this.
In the server configuration I can chose between OpenLightSpeed, LightSpeed, Apace and NGINX - but I didn't find anything to switch from MariaDB to MySQL.

Does Enhance really not offer an option to chose MySQL instead of MariaDB, or am I just too blind to find the right switch?

I would be grateful for any tips.

There is a choice of database type during installation, the initial configuration.

I think your best bet is going to be making a new server with the db you want, then transfer the sites into it... Make sure to set the db role slowly so you don't click thru and miss the part where it gives you the option of selecting which db you want and version.

Just to add you could use a third server as a temporary, i.e. create it as mysql as suggested, move the sites to it and when the server with apache has no more sites on it, you can address the change to mysql or wipe/rebuild that server, then move sites back to it. Delete the temp server.

He might have brought the two servers and locked in a known cost factor this method is an inexpensive way to help re-adjust/re-build one of the servers per his requirement.

Hi folks,
I just made a new server and chose "application" and "database" as role - and again I wasn't ask, wheter I want to have MariaDB or MySQL. Automaticly MariaDB was installed.
But then I found out, that you have to remove the "database" role and reapply it - and there it is: now you can choose between MariaDB or MySQL!
I personally think, this is a bug. You should be asked at the first installation, which database you want.

SvenK yes its a bug, after you have added the new server to enhance first time, wait few mins then install each role one by one, and wait few minutes between each one, this was my workaround it.
