Yes, some .htaccess
rules won’t directly translate to OLS, which is a drawback. But when weighing the pros and cons, the benefits far outweigh the limitations.
Regarding performance measurement, we haven’t used Loader.io or similar benchmarking tools. Instead, we prefer monitoring load averages over a week or so, as that gives us a more practical view of real-world performance. Some plugins might outperform LiteSpeed in specific synthetic tests, but we prioritize a stable, all-in-one solution that handles caching, Redis, and heartbeat optimization, while being tested on millions of sites and backed by an enterprise-grade company like LiteSpeed.
Also, LiteSpeed caching isn’t just about WordPress. As hosting providers, we need a solution optimized for Joomla, Magento, Drupal, Laravel, and other popular CMSs, all of which come highly tuned for OLS/LS. That level of flexibility and performance isn’t something you can easily find in any other solution.
