Hello . I want to propose a more extensive backups where we can have plans with backups every 2 hours or even every 1 hour. Is this possible to be done? I know it will take more resources from the servers and I prefer to have controller server to run the backup request not as planed to be down to the web servers…

Automatic website backups will be initiated by the app/email server rather than the control panel server, improving backup performance on large (100+ server) clusters…. Improving performance but I think this improvement shouldn’t be causing more load to web servers. Email yes can be used for controller like. Like MAAS need controller per region and DC similar will be best to have controller only role to deal with backup request. So no load to be added to web servers
Kosta yep I propose as well controller like feature that will deal with backups, app installs, and phpadmin per DC etc also this controller like role may be able to make something like HA to the CP server will be fantastic
Using also internal network to communicate controller with web server role so web servers get complete isolation and any back up data get transferred on internal network level to boost the security and reliability improve performance on web servers as separate option. I know it’s coming internally network feature update… hmm yeah we may get there..
