Datadog Experience ?

Hello, does anybody here been or using currently Datadog agent to monitor or get some logs for his IT infrastructure?

Would you recommend Datadog for production environments on Hosting to manage IT?

Havnet used Dagahog, but we use Zabbix for monitoring Enhance and its working great.

Currently exploring Datadog, I just spend the night to configure all .yaml configurations…

Helix We also use Zabbix for all our server monitoring. We setup the discovery feature to detect and then monitor the CPU, Memory and Process count per website on all Enhance servers and its working really well.

We were using DataDog last year but it was very expensive.
I switched 6 months ago to Grafana LGTM Stack and till now really impressive and open source.
If you want something not self-hosted, maybe NewRelic or NetData will be nice.

Hossam apart of the price issue, would you recommend Datadog. Did you had good experience?

We encountered issues with the agent, particularly when handling Kubernetes workloads, and reaching out to support via tickets and flare submissions was cumbersome. While the solution is acceptable for basic host monitoring, its performance in APM and Kubernetes environments is lacking.

I do like some extra features for security of Datadog but it’s really expensive… currently I switched to netdata to explore and I gonna look at Zabbix to explore too.

So far the only thing I did like for monitoring solution is checkmk. After Datadog, netdata, new relic, couldn’t try zabbix as I couldn’t even set it up lol but I did manage to set up checkmk. Seems the best option for me…
