I'm not wanting to discuss the bugs.. they are being working on, more just get to know how the new system works. So far this is what I have found:
- A symlink 'current' always points to the current snapshot. This is new behaviour
- There are new wip-snapshot* directories now, I am still not 100% sure if having a number of these left over is normal or not
- There is also a new .ssh directory in the website backup folder. This contains the users authorised keys etc for the Enhance rsync transfers
- Will the backup-snapshot (btrfs) directories eventually be cleaned up as part of the backup rotation? These were left over if you did an upgrade from v11
I'm still not sure how the retention cleanup is done, but I haven't got around to digging in to the new Enhance v12 rsync commands.
Backing up your backups now requires the rsync -L flag (at least) if you do things this way. Please share what else you have discovered etc so we can get a better understanding of how this all works.
