Whats sets Enhance Apart from other Panels?

Myself i am curious, and i would like to discuss what Features are setting Enhance Apart and making better than other Free or Paid panels, Specially now that docker was partially gone on previous version and now is completely gone ?

Why should someone choose enhance over any other panel ??

What i see :
1) Incremental backups - that dont work very well when multiple websites in one "website" containr
2) The fact that there is no multi server license?

The plans for my hosting organisation coming from Direct Admin:

Ability to easier run global shared hosting infrastructure and managed VPS under 1 panel.
Lightweight panel (only made better with v11 and v12)
Ability to have roles on different servers, ie split mail off my shiny NVME high frequency server onto a previous generation server.
Per user licence instead of per server
More stable licencing costs and not owned by VC like Oakley Capital
Compared to 'free' panels, you get exceptional support, ongoing and ongoing professional development

Backups worked fine for me. Not sure what your complaint with licencing is.

Enhance has its's quirks, but it's getting better everyday and soon getting to the point it's going to start really showing it's teeth to cPanel/DirectAdmin

Incremental backups have always been amazing since I've been using them. I really don't understand the "multiple addon sites under the same website" argument talk. If you use the software as it was designed you wouldn't have this kind of problem.

That said, manage 10+ servers with hundreds of websites in one single panel is a dream. Coming from 10+ plesk servers, to be updated individually, maintained individually, configured individually. And performance are like 2x now.

For the time saved and the performance obtained, I would be willing to pay the license much more, but enhance is even cheaper compared to plesk, so personally I don't regret anything. No, wait, i miss only the "search" feature in the file manager lol.

My only fear of enhance was its youth and uncertain future, but judging the effort on the v12 I can only say that the commitment is undeniable and that I hope, within a couple of years, this panel will have the reputation it deserves.

As cPFence said you're here to whine not learn. As for free panels they are either ugly or have horrible security. In the case of Cyberapanel, both.

If you think docker is the only way to containerize you probably shouldn't be hosting as it shows very little sysadmin Skil.

And why are u concerned about docker. Docker was never a user thing in enhance. Did u choose to try enhance because it had the word docker ?

Docker did nothing but:

Limit Enhance’s ability to expand features.
Restrict software developers from adding features to the Enhance platform.
Add a huge overhead, more memory usage and crazy, unmanageable disk usage.

As soon as Docker was out of the equation, we were able to add core features to cPFence in no time, like IPv6 support and database scanning. The upcoming Enhance updates over the next few months will make people regret the days of Docker-based services.

It certainly added another layer of complexity for both processing and networking which was intimidating to work with.
Now that Enhance have been able to separate out the roles a better way I don't see the benefits.
It's not like it was 1 docker instance per website which many thought.

Honeytree I totally agree, you can compare how different platforms react to security issues. Adam responded to me within minutes and had a fix within hours. Elsewhere, it took months to even contact someone to initiate a solution and even then it was not reasonably resolved...

I would like to ask you all to stop the personal attacks, both things i mentioned i see them as a plus for enhance and they are not complains, other things i have mentioned in posts are VALID issues, and also as not a server admin i also managed to detect security issues, and bugs that i reported on tickets.

This post is not to blame - shame Enhance, its to show its qualities.

For me the pricing model is highly attractive. With Enhance we cut per-server software/licensing costs in half.

Native containerization is also a great benefit.

Disaster Recovery via the backup server role and features is also a big benefit. Other panels make backups as an after thought, while Enhance really put some good work behind their offering. It has taken a long time to get the old backups system working perfectly, and it still is missing a lot of basic features (download backups, etc), but it had high hopes. The new backup system scares me because of all the reported issues and change in strategy.

The only thing for DR that was really lacking (and extremely important) was a way to restore the control panel server. So hopefully that feature gets added soon, then DR will be rock solid / unbeatable in the hosting panel world.

The central control panel is also a big part that sets Enhance apart. Instead of needing a different URL for clients to login to for every server, we get 1 unified login that gives access to all clients. That's gives Enhance a really premium feel compared to the old style panels.

There's more, but this is probably my top 4. Price, DR, containerization, central control panel.

The Enhance panel is more cost-effective for servers with a smaller number of websites. Plesk or cPanel is not cost-effective for servers with a small number of websites.
