Hi

For admin and clients
I think a good option would be during the automatic installation of WordPress to disable the default cron and manage it through Enhance.
With the option to set the time of its execution, such as every 15 minutes or an hour and so on
By default, cron executes every time a WordPress site is opened, thus consuming server resources and reducing site speed.

Kindly regards

On a Wordpress cron side note, enhance are aware of the duplication of crons when adding/deleting/adding Wordpress apps to the same website. I think they were also looking at randomising the starting minute on auto created crons.

    7 days later

AdamM when I created a WP site on enhance, it seems cron job was already set up for that site with 30mn window so i simply switched it to 1mn.
Then I went to disable manually wp cron. Is this is the part you would like to automate? >> define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true) ; in wp-config.php ?

    a year later

Sorry to revive an old thread, but it seems this feature has been implemented by default. FYI. If you don't have WP CRON enabled you'll find a lot of TEMPLATE IMPORT tools DO NOT WORK.

    I keep having issues -_-

    9 months later

    I can confirm that:

    • BookingPress
    • Astra
    • GeneratePress
    • Kadence
    • WooCommerce Addons
    • OpenPOS
    • ZipWP
    • GravityForms Booking

All bug out when the WPCRON is disabled.

      slimx All bug out

In what way? We run many of these and have no issues.
