Is it okay to upgrade to V12.x on Ubuntu 22.04?

Hi folks,
I thought all my servers were already on Ubuntu 24.04. But after the first couple of steps into the v12 upgrade process I realised my main cluster server is on 22.04. That's because ECP wasn't officially 24.04 compatible when I deployed the server. I'd forgotten about that.

Anyway ... so far I've complete apt-get install -y ecp-core orchd ecp-filerd. That's when I realised it was Ubuntu 22.04.

So, my question is, is ECP going to shit itself if I complete the ECP update on a 22.04 server?

Is it safe to do an Ubuntu release upgrade to 24.04, after I've already taken the first step of the ECP upgrade process? If so, any particular things to be mindful of?

No issues. Go ahead and complete your v12 upgrade first, wait a couple of days for everything to stabilize, and then upgrade to 24.04.

I actually updated the server to 24.04 before I saw your reply. I figured it was likely safe. I used your instructions (here), and then continued with the ECP update from scratch.

So far everything seems to be working.

Actually, the only issue I've encountered so far is that two sub-servers have hung in the CPFence install. Will put that in a ticket on your site.
