Email role migration - disables DKIM and loses SSL for mail.domain.com

I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but if you migrate a website's email role to another server, the DKIM key is deactivated and the SSL cert for example mail.domain.com is not transferred.
It is a bit annoying because you have to manually re-enable DKIM and generate the SSL certificate again.

@Adam @Aliysa_Enhance I hope it will be fixed soon.

AdamM ssl has to be re issued if you moving to new server, new path etc.. I believe dkim as well need to be re activated manually when we moving websites too…
To me seems the correct way…

Sort of related… Websites moves also disable redis (if enabled)
And, “push live” and clone website operations do not copy cron tasks.

These have been like this for a long time. I have reported both as bugs before.

xyzulu I have also reported this. I understand that it is necessary to add new features but it would be useful to fix bugs that have existed for a long time and have been reported.

I was told that these kinds of bugs (leftover from v11) will be fixed “soon”. Wish there was something I could do to help with this, but it’s out of all our hands.

it should be automatic
if dkim was enabled
if mail role is moved to other server
post-move auto-dkim-re-enable, and auto-ssl-install
or something like that 🙂

josedieguez I have ssl that needs to be generated CSR from the server ssh. Before I apply my ssl keys. it’s not good security practice… anyway
When mail or app roles get moved new IPs coming means it requires new SSL to be provided manually. If it’s automatically. It will be bad for security reasons!

(1+ for auto provision of cup off coffee when I wake up)
