Error when enabling Quota

Hello everyone,

Is there any requirements to enable website disk quota? I'm on 12.1 and tried to enable quotas on a fresh server and I get the error 'Failed to update 'SERVERNAME': '

Thinking the issue was the VPS provider, I launched 2 additional VPS (one with a different provider) to debug and they all got the same issue.

Journalctl doesn't show anything. Server is in EXT4. I'm quite new to enhance, is there any log for issues from the control panel?

Check logs on both main CP and app server:

grep -i quota /var/log/syslog
journalctl -u appcd | grep -i quota

Might help pinpoint the issue.

Do you have a server hostname set in your Enhance control panel for this particular server?

xyzulu I didn't, I tried adding one and it still doesn't allow me to enable disk quota. In the meantime, I also tried changing the web servers, adding new roles (only had application + database on it, added DNS to see), rebooted the server

Check if quotas are already enabled, usually this is the case , I believe enhance doesn't detect it on 12

aquota is enabled on the disk but the system is expecting the new style quotas

"Your kernel probably supports ext4 quota feature but you are using external quota files. Please switch your filesystem to use ext4 quota feature as external quota files on ext4 are deprecated"
