Can't receive emails

I am testing out our first servers with Enhance. Right now, the last thing that does not seem to be working is receiving emails. I have checked DNS for the MX record which clearly shows the correct data and resolves to the correct IP address.

There is an email that bounces back that says:
(Domain name was redacted)

This is the mail system at host pyrogeeks.com.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

test@domain.tld: unknown user: "test"

The IP address of the server sending the bounced email matches the MX record and our Enhance test server. I am able to send emails without a problem from the test account.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this will apply to you. But it has happened to me that some email systems try to send via IPv6. In my case the IPv6 was configured incorrectly so emails were bouncing.

This happens when the mail server hostname / HELO name is set to one of the virtually hosted domains - it will prevent the virtually hosted domain from receiving inbound messages as Postfix is looking for a local user which doesn't exist. We will add a warning in the UI about this. Normally you would set the HELO name to the hostname of your server, for example my-mail-server.my-hosting-company.com.
