Wordpress Multisite on Enhance?

Hi folks,

Am I correct in thinking it's not feasible to run Wordpress Multisite on an Enhance server?

There's no mention of "multisite" in the documentation, and very little mention of it in these forums. So I am suspecting it's a total no-go situation. Is that correct?

Please advise.

inspiredearth Why not? We host a customer with a multisite wordpress with 30+ sites. Multisite is just a config in the wp-config and then you have to point any other subdomain to the same document root of the main website (public_html). I don't think there's much else to do.

This is not something that is managed from Enhane, this is done in a working WordPress.,

Its possible according to other posts I've seen here in the past.

On OLS you CAN edit config but it gets lost when you update so you'd need a script or the awesome @cPFence has a product with a feature (idk if its free) that makes OLS changes persist. Might work for you.

That said, multisite really sucks and 99% of sites on multisite shouldn't be. Its rarely the answer to a problem that isn't caused by cheapness.

I would advice you against multisite. It's absolute pain to do anything with it.

As I said many times to my clients, I would rather develop a plugin (for free) to sync users and allow you to switch between websites, than use multisite. Hate that thing. Absolute abomination.

And yes, we have quite a few multisites to manage, but all because we acquired the clients and projects. None created by us. There is not a single reason for me to use multisite.
