I’d like to share a suggestion that I believe would make a big difference in managing technical aspects within Enhance, especially for those of us running multiple servers in production environments.
At the moment, the Enhance panel doesn’t provide any information about the versions of “external” software installed on each server — I’m referring to things like Roundcube (on mail servers), OpenLiteSpeed or NGINX (on web servers), and other essential components that aren’t directly managed by the core of Enhance.
In practice, this means we have to manually keep track of whether these components are up to date, which can become a risk or a hassle over time. My suggestion is to add a feature that displays, per server:
- The currently installed version of each external component
- The latest available version
- And an option to update manually (with a single click) or enable automatic updates
This would bring several benefits:
- Improved security (keeping everything up to date)
- Better visibility into the actual state of each server
- Much more efficient centralized management, especially across multiple machines
I understand Enhance aims to simplify infrastructure management — and I truly believe this feature would align perfectly with that goal.
Thanks in advance for considering it!
