Hi,
Recently I had a downtime issue with a webserver and on the ticket Adam told me that the web server is always the source of truth for the DNS zone.
This means that when a web server is offline, the domain dns menu on Enhance CP will not load, making not possible to edit the dns records of websites hosted on that server.
On my specific case, because of the web server downtime, I wanted to change some DNS records on some websites hosted on that specific server, and I was unable to do it.
When a server is down, is when we, most of the times, have the need to make urgent dns changes.
Domain and DNS menu/management on Enhance CP should be available when any of all webservers are down. Its my opinion, that source of truth for DNS should be the CP and not distributed per the webservers.
If Im wrong in anyway, please correct me. What is your opinion about this? Im I missing something and having dns truth on the webservers is better?
Thanks
