RHEL based distros support

Please add support for RHEL based distros as these are far more frequently used on servers.

What is your benefit with RHEL based distros over Ubuntu?

We've been doing RHEL and CentOS based systems over 20 years and everything we do for the last few years is now going Ubuntu by default. It's where we see most of the OSS developers testing their softwares and other than CloudLinux type LVE things that it looks like Enhance wants to do differently, I don't think we miss it.

I'm not saying this is a bad idea and shouldn't be a feature request, just interested in the debate.

That's three yes for Enhance.

Adam Because everything on Enhance is containerised we don't feel there is much benefit in supporting multiple distributions.

Do you I have to put that container just next to my fence or do I have to install it on a computer?

ufo To avoid confusion I am just an enhance user ("we" being me and my company, not me and enhance) giving my personal opinion and interested in what other distros can offer over the current one being focused on.

I'd like to use Enhance with Oracle Linux because it's an advanced server system and hardly anyone supports it.

It's just that rhel distributions are made for servers and almost always perform better.

Only because CPU scaling governor being set to "performance" on Alma. Set the same on Ubuntu and see how the tables turn.

Since the EOL of CentOS 8, we have used Almalinux 8 and 9 so far and get along very well with them. Therefore, support for Almalinux would also be good. But basically I don't care about the operating system as long as it gets updates.
It is more important to me that the various applications on the server are kept up to date.

The best solution will be to support a smaller handful of systems.

I would leave it only ubuntu, possibly later AlmaLinux / CloudLinux and that's it... why more? This causes a lot of work and problems.
