This is a very important feature i think we should have, our clients asking for this very often! When there's a sub-domain on which company hosted CRM or any other critical software and they have their company website on main domain then in case of disaster they are forced to restore everything including main domain + sub-domain, if you have problems with either you can not restore any one!
Now please keep SSH arguments out of this, we're sysadmins, our clients are not let's be practical here..
