While we are waiting for Enhance to maybe put the access logs back on the Road Map I was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution like @cPFence LogRotate provides (we use cPGuard by @opsshield) where the logs can be copied over to the users home folder?
I can't keep giving excuses to our clients on why there are no logs available for investigation when they experience high load and downtime (until we reset their web container).
I am aware that you can use something like this to tail the logs but it seems a bit hit and miss to me and I would need this to run for each website on the server.
tail --follow=name /var/local/enhance/webserver_logs/1111-22222-3333-4444-55555.log >> /var/www/1111-22222-3333-4444-55555/access-logs/$(date '+%Y-%m-%d').log
And then there is the permission side of things to consider and log rotation.
Has anyone got anywhere close to a working model of retained logs?
