Hello Enhance Community,
I would like to propose adding a description/notes field in the domain overview section.
Where it should appear:
In the "Short Overview" section, where current information is displayed:
Web Server
PHP Version
IPv4 Addresses
MySQL
Creation Date
Use Cases:
This field would be extremely helpful for storing domain-specific information, such as:
External email service credentials (when not using Enhance mail)
SMTP/IMAP connection details and configuration
Third-party service integrations
Client contact information or requirements
Migration history or important setup notes
Custom DNS or networking configurations
Any other domain-specific documentation
Admin-Only Visibility Control:
A checkbox option: "Admin only" or "Visible to admin only" would allow us to:
Store sensitive information (credentials, internal notes) hidden from clients
Share general information with clients when appropriate
Maintain better security when managing multiple client domains
Keep internal documentation separate from client-visible information
Benefits:
✅ Improved domain management workflow
✅ Better organization for agencies and hosting providers
✅ Secure storage of sensitive configuration details
✅ Reduced need to maintain external documentation
✅ All important information in one place
✅ Flexible visibility control for different use cases
Current Problem:
Right now, there's no convenient place within the panel to store custom notes or documentation about domain configurations. This is especially problematic when managing multiple domains with external email providers or custom setups.
Real-World Example:
When managing 20+ client domains with different external email services (SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.), I need to constantly check external documentation to find connection details. Having this information right in the domain overview would save significant time and reduce errors.
Would this feature be useful for your workflow? Please share your thoughts and use cases!
