Expectations for Enhance in 2026

Where is Enhance going in the next year? What features will be added? What would you like to see?

I hope that in 2026 Enhance will release more new features than it did in 2025, because compared to the competition it currently looks quite weak. Right now, the features I care about the most are email features.

I am missing fixes and ipv6 mostly. Otherwise I am quite happy.

Note: we use third party provider for DNS and emails. So these features I've never tried.

I really hate the controling of strong pass logic. I have lastpass generate 32 characters but I HAVE TO PUT special character there, cause without it, it can't be strong pass - really annoying.

There is like 50 % that one click login will not work, issues with connect to phpmyadmin with one click, no refresh persistent logic when impersonating user, no search in packages, limited and different listing logic all over the app, no save states in my profile (e.g. always show addons in listing) and much more or backups states are basically just a guessing if they are being created or not (and upon refresh no state is shown).

There is also quite few features missing in API. And in some cases the API version of features are behaving differently. Also I've never understood the logic how to login to API (I've never seen this kind of implementation that enhance has).

Fixing the basic stuff would be nice.

Andrei Exactly spend time fixing stuff and fullassing the halfassed stuff like NodeJS implementation. Its embarassing and I would never sell NodeJS hosting to customer but you'd look like a hack.

Better third party integration so can make our own installers for apps.
Fix file manager to be actually reliable.
Proper logging and log viewer with search that actually works at scale.
Actual NodeJS support
Postgresql support (again, real implementation not halfassed)
Better staging functions.

slimx I would like to better adjust the settings for my server and increase the maximum downloadable file size. Currently, it is hard-set to 2GB, which interrupts downloads. I’m also not satisfied with the GZIP and Brotli settings when I want the site to use only Brotli, it’s not possible to do this in php.ini because OLS forces GZIP, and instead of the page, a garbled mess of characters appears.

gmakhs It seems to me that Enhance needs to expand its development team, because progress is extremely slow. In version 11 there were more releases and features, so it feels like the development team has been reduced.

gmakhs I thought version 12 took so long to develop, but as it turns out it was released in February, and throughout the whole year very little new content was delivered, while bugs are still not being fixed, which I also regret. It’s also unclear who left the team - if it was a senior developer, that would mean a lot.

DracoBlue version 12 was delayed by almost a year , Adam was saying that they just had small issues , then when it was launched it was missing many promised features , to me it feels not that a senior developer left but THE only developer, it's the only explanation I have for all those delays and half baked releases of features.

There where also logic changes like the file manager overwrite issue which wasn't event mentioned in the change log .... And still not fixed almost a year later .

Now I happened to run 2 user heavy websites on enhance and I realized that memory handling is also very bad, and a small peak can put a website offline for hours ... Thanks to auto fix 503 not working on litespeed ...

gmakhs Errors should be fixed with every release, but that’s not the case. Only very critical issues get addressed. It’s interesting to see what Enhance will show us in 2026. In my opinion, releases should be bigger and bugs should be fixed gradually. Let’s be honest, fixing some bugs takes just a few hours, which over the course of a year is nothing, so it really looks like the team is short on developers.

gmakhs It was clear that version v11 had more new features and they were released faster. After v12 came out, everything slowed down, which explains your investigation. I hope the Enhance team is still looking for a senior developer and that this will speed things up. By the way, is Adam also a developer?

This is a normal balance sheet for a company in our position - we invested millions of pounds in the development of Enhance long before Enhance became cash flow positive in 2025.

Unlike some other panels, we are not funded by venture capital or private equity which means nobody is forcing us to raise prices or to sell the company. The only debt is a director's loan which is owed to me personally.

DracoBlue even if he is there is a limit on whasy a person can do, direct the company , support , forum etc , I would like to focus why they lost another developer this year after V12 so total loss 2 down to 3 from 5.
