Hey everyone,
We’ve officially reached v12.14.2. We have advanced server management, cutting-edge deployments, and a version number that looks like a high-level math equation. But you know what we also still have?
The "Your account setup" banner that simply refuses to die.

It’s like that one guest at a party who doesn't realize it's 3:00 AM. I’ve completed 7 out of 7 steps. I’ve clicked "dismiss." I’ve told it I love it and that we can just be friends. But the moment I clear my browser cache or log in from a new device? BAM. It’s back, asking me to "Get Started" for the 400th time.
It turns out the "dismissed" state is stored in your local browser cache, not the server. So, unless you plan on never clearing your cookies again, this purple box is your new permanent roommate.
The "Exorcism" Script 🧙♂️
We finally lost our minds and decided to take matters into our own hands. If the panel won't hide it, JavaScript will. We wrote a tiny "Set-it-and-forget-it" script that hunts down the banner and deletes it from existence before it even has a chance to blink.
!function(){function t(){const t=[...document.querySelectorAll('h3, [data-qa="text"]')].find((t=>"Your account setup"===t.textContent.trim()));if(!t)return!1;const e=t.closest('[data-qa="card"]');return!!e&&(e.style.display="none",!0)}if(t())return;const e=new MutationObserver((()=>{t()&&e.disconnect()}));e.observe(document.body,{childList:!0,subtree:!0})}();
Why use this?
Version Independent: Works on v12.14.2 and probably v13.0.0 (because let's be real, it'll still be there).
Cache Proof: Clear your cookies all you want; as long as this script runs, the banner stays hidden.
Peace of Mind: Finally, a dashboard that looks like you actually know what you're doing.
See you all in v12.15.0, where I’m sure we’ll be discussing why it's still there 🤣
