Restart container after php version update

We have just had a notification from a customer they had a scan and it reported php 8.1.33 as vulnerable and needed .34

This confused me as I know their particular dedi server was updated in early January php > 8.1.34

I did a check on the version in use and it was indeed 8.1.33 - a restart of the container sorted it.

Could this be done automatically when php versions are . upgraded?

It should be done automatically, but for now its better to just reboot the server

There is a feature in cPFence to restart all the containers across the entire cluster which we have used today and has worked very well.

Automatically when php is updated though yes would be better.

Yep I know, that's why I asked here if it could be done when the php versions are updated.

I was just saying that's how we have done it now while it doesn't.

1+ maybe best to be able Admin to schedule container restarts wide in cluster ( after let’s say undated version get released Admin make few tests on WP and Joomla sites to see if any problems then schedule that restarts.. if some errors come to main WP plugins, to be able to hold the new versions for some sort of time)
Or even better notifications directly to customers telling them new version is available press here to restart container to take effect, less work for admins…
