asking this here because i know @cPFence is active on here, and it's something i think other enhance users might be interested in knowing.
how does cpfence decide when to auto-update and can it be restricted to a fixed schedule instead?
i know i can manually update via the gui or by cli, i can also see by default it attempts to auto-update every day.
but it seems to vary when wildly, sometimes just after midnight, sometimes mid-afternoon etc..
i can't see anything for controlling when it auto-updates, no cron jobs, can't see anything to set it in the gui, only thing i can see scheduled is a cron to restart cpfence daily.
call me paranoid, but i don't like anything choosing when to update itself, especially on a server.
i know any single bad update can break a server, and no, i don't expect any cpfence update to do so...
but why run the risk, i'd rather know exactly what's going to get updated and precisely when.
i have unattended-upgrades configured with a fixed schedule.
i'd prefer to have nothing in wordpress set to auto-update (annoyingly even setting everything to not auto-update, including configuring not to auto-update WP core in wp-config.php, it still manages to apply some updates by itself š ), and have all WP updates run on a schedule.
so yeah, i'd also prefer to get cpfence auto-update of itself to stick to a configured schedule.
