can we in the rewrites allow a destination like a named location so we edit it in the overrides ..

Do you mean that you'd like to limit the locations to which the redirect manager will redirect traffic? Or that you want to force a redirect at an admin level - for example if a customer is suspended?

Adam in the rewrites its now limited to a file like index.php .html etc.. If we can allow like @whatever then in the host config overrides i can set
Location @whatever { rewrite … }

Basically a way for modifying the location / {}

If there are any other easier ways modifying the / without waiting for dev that would be great.
