mike i dunno if i am explaining it right its a wizard flow like install. right now in enhance you fill the details and deploy.. then what ??. where in other platforms it guides you.. (upload or git) next (auto picks everything) next (builds) ..etc..
We're working on git integration, I agree that would be useful.
mike and why the nodejs is hidden under advanced ? why for example its not in apps install a node app then you choose a domain or create one then.. upload files... or git ... etc... then when the user finishes the flow he has a running app.. if the build is failed you show the logs of the failed build etc.. a wizard flow type..
The apps section is for installing pre-build applications like WordPress or Joomla. We also have another exciting addition to this section, hopefully in the next release.
Node.js is a feature for developers which is why it's under "advanced" so as not to confuse people who just want to install WordPress. I appreciate a lot of non-developers can now build/deploy Node apps they've built with AI tools, this is something which has become a lot more popular since we built the feature and maybe we can consider moving the menu options around. I think wizards vs single form configuration are personal preference. I can see why some customers might prefer a wizard.
mike anyway if you feel the current node implementation is good then 🤷🏻♂️
Customers are very vocal with their feedback but this isn't an area of the panel which has received much criticism which is why I wanted to clarify precisely what you weren't happy with. All feedback is appreciated and will be considered.
