Greetings,
We just launched PingWise.com, an uptime monitoring tool, and it already has Enhance integration.
PingWise connects to Enhance to get the lists of sites to add to the monitors.
You connect your Enhance with a token, press "Test connection" and you see every site it found.
"Import and keep in sync" enables new sites to get monitored automatically (suspended sites pause, deleted sites go).
It syncs every 10 minutes. Youn can setup one alert per server if needed. When a node with 40 sites goes down you get one alert "node1 is down, 40 sites affected".
You can create a customer account for each Enhance customer org: their own login, their own alerts, their own status page with your logo and colours. They only see their sites.
Also monitors the servers themselves: ping, TCP ports, SMTP, TLS, DNS.
The monitoring itself is is quorum-based. We use 15 probes in 15 cities on 6 continents.
API is available.
About the API token: Enhance has no read-only role, so the sync needs a Super admin token. Our client only reads (two GET calls, websites and servers), it can't change anything in Enhance. The token is stored encrypted, the keys are only on our server in an environment variable, never in the database, and it's deleted when you remove the integration. Sync comes from fixed IPs (pingwise.com/probes/), so you can IP-restrict the token in Enhance. It's all in our privacy policy too.
We're a team of 5 people (Greece, Sweden, Serbia, North Macedonia) that have been working together for 15 years now. Full disclosure: a lot of the code was written with AI. The design, the security decisions and the testing are ours.
We made it public 2 days ago so, this is one of the very first times we publish it.
I would like to know your thoughts, and ask questions if you have. Any suggestions are welcomed!
Regards,
Alex
